Granting full compensation for Beach Seine Fishermen affected due to the construction of the Kalametiya Fishery Harbour

- The joint proposal made by the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock Development, Irrigation and Fisheries & Aquatic Resources Development and the Minister of Finance, to secure funds to enable to grant compensation in a sum of Rs.5 million to each of the 28 beach seine owners registered under the Kalametiya Beach Seine Ferry, affected as a result of the construction of the Kalametiya Fishery Harbour, was approved by the Cabinet.
