Devitalization of the Propagatable Floriculture items to be exported to Australia and the use of Glyphosate for the control of White Leaf Disease in the Sugarcane Cultivation and Weligama Coconut Leaf Wilt Disease

- The joint proposal made by the Minister of Plantation Industries and the Minister of Development Strategies and International Trade, to provide the relevant exporters with 200 Liters of Glyphosate on the recommendation of the Sri Lanka Export Development Board for the use of devitalization of the propagatable floriculture items, to provide 31,815 Liters of Glyphosate to the Sugarcane Research Institute for the control of White Leaf Disease in the Sugarcane Cultivation and to provide 200 Liters of Glyphosate to the Coconut Research Institute for the control of Weligama Coconut Leaf Wilt Disease and to import 32,215 Liters of Glyphosate and distribute through the CEPETCO, subject to the conditions stipulated by the Experts' Committee appointed in this regard, was approved by the Cabinet.
