Payment of compensation for the houses damaged due to the floods in the year 2016

- The proposal made by the Prime Minister to pay an ex gratia payment of Rs.20,000 per housing unit for 8,879 housing units in Kolonnawa Divisional Secretariat Division damaged due to the floods in the year 2016 that has not been assessed as yet but has been recommended by the Kolonnawa Divisional Secretary, through the Ministry of Public Administration, Disaster Management and Livestock Development and to provide the required provisions for the purpose to the said Ministry, was approved by the Cabinet.
