Procurement of Fertilizer - 2019 (August)

- The proposal made by the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock Development, Irrigation and Fisheries & Aquatic Resources Development to obtain the covering approval of the Cabinet to procure the fertilizer requirement of 5,500 MT of Urea (Prilled), at the rate of US$ 322.74 per MT, 60,000MT of Urea (Granular) at the rate of US$ 312.99 and 5,900MT of Muriate of Potash (Red/Pinksh) at the rate of US$ 355.49 from the M/s Valency International Trading (Pvt.) Ltd., and 15,800MT Triple Super Phosphate at the rate of US$ 302.50 from M/s Golden Barley International (Pvt.) Ltd., to fulfill the fertilizer need of the month of August of the Ceylon Fertilizer Company Limited and the Colombo Commercial Fertilizer Company Limited, was approved by the Cabinet.
