Nation Building Tax (Amendment) Bill

- The proposal made by the Minister of Finance, to publish the draft Bill prepared by the Legal Draftsman to amend the Nation Building Tax Act, No.9 of 2009 incorporating the necessary legal provisions for construction, tourism services, gem and jewellery industry and providing tax concessions relating to certain processing industries, inclusive of bringing cigarette manufacturing under the Nation Building Tax, to give effect to the amendments proposed in the Budget 2019, in the Government Gazette and subsequently, present same in Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
