Implementation of the Sri Lanka National Youth Voluntary Service

-The encouragement of the youth towards social activities and community development activities and also the inculcation of the team spirit through their leadership and personality development has become a timely necessity. As such, the proposal made by the Minister of National Policies, Economic Affairs, Resettlement & Rehabilitation, Northern Province Development and Youth Affairs, to establish the Sri Lanka National Youth Voluntary Service aimed at building a disciplined and skill filled Sri Lankan community of youth, was approved by the Cabinet.
