Introduction of an effective Legal Framework to Counter Terrorism

- Since the introduction of new legal measures to prevent the rise of terrorist groups in future is a timely need, aimed at preventing people becoming terrorists, a proposal has been submitted to the Cabinet by the Hon. Prime Minister focusing attention in the areas on temporary restriction orders, prohibition on encouragement of terrorism and control of being in a designated foreign area and bio metric data etc. After having a discussion in this regard, approval was granted by the Cabinet to appoint a Ministerial Committee under the Chairmanship of the Minister of Foreign Affairs in order to submit the facts to the Cabinet with regard to this, after making a study of the laws pertaining to the matter available in the UK and other countries
