Establishment of an integrity platform for Women Helpline

- A platform for Women Helpline has been established operative through the telephone number 1938, with a view to providing assistance and relief for complaints of women related to all forms of discrimination against women, defilement of the rights of women, harassments and all types of abusive incidents. It has been planned to improve this help line to provide immediate and emergency response to women across the country throughout the 24 hours. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Women & Child Affairs and Dry Zone Development, to establish a mobile based online platform to report violence and harassment to the relevant authorities in a safe and secure manner, was approved by the Cabinet.
