Central Expressway Project II - Construction of a new access road to link Ambepussa - Kurunegala-Trincomalee A006 road and Kurunegala Interchange

- The proposal made by the Minister of Highways & Road Development and Petroleum Resources Development, to construct a New Link Road of 1.1 kilometre in length in order to provide connectivity between the Expressway at Kurunegala Interchange and A006 Ambepussa, Kurunegala Trincomalee Road, as a way to provide an opportunity for the general public using Part II of the Central Expressway from Meerigama to Kurunegala, to enter and exit from A006 road and to avoid the main town of Kurunegala for the purpose of minimizing traffic congestion, was approved by the Cabinet.
