Implementation of the Lower Malwathu Oya Project

- It has been planned to expedite the implementation of the Lower Malwathu Oya Project by using the Government Consolidated Fund. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock Development, Irrigation and Fisheries & Aquatic Resources Development, to secure the financial provisions so as to enable to commence the programme this year itself, was approved by the Cabinet.
