Amendments to the Registration of Electors Act, No.44 of 1980

- The proposal made by H.E. the President to publish the draft Bill pertaining to the amendment of the Registration of Electors Act, No.44 of 1980, in the Government Gazette in the three languages in order to provide opportunities for the youth who attain 18 years of age and satisfy other required qualifications during the period till the revision of the next register of electors is started, commencing from the certification of register of electors in the process of the annual revision of the register of electors to exercise their voting rights, and subsequently, to present the said Bill in Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
