Minimizing the problems associated with the damages caused to cultivation by wild animals

- A Committee was established with the representation of the relevant Government Institutions to formulate a sustainable programme for minimizing the damages caused to cultivation of agricultural crops by wild animals. The Committee has prepared an Action Plan to minimize the damages caused by the wild animals. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock Development, Irrigation and Fisheries & Aquatic Resources Development, to secure the necessary funds for the implementation of the said plan, was approved by the Cabinet.
