Making the Women's Chamber for Digital an active contributor in the acceleration of Sri Lanka's Digital Economy

- The Women's Chamber for Digital has been established by the Women who empowered the field of information and communication technology, with a view to providing an integrated approach in the acceleration of the Digital Economy of Sri Lanka. It has been observed that the objectives of the Women's Chamber for Digital are aligned with the women entrepreneurship and leadership promotional programmes as well as the Government policies and strategies on substantial promotion of anticipated benefits through digitization. Accordingly, the proposal made by H.E. the President, at the request of the Non‑Cabinet Minister of Digital Infrastructure and Information Technology, to join the Women's Chamber for Digital as an active participant in the programmes of Women's entrepreneurship associated with information technology executed by the public institutes and to provide the necessary facilities for that Chamber, was approved by the Cabinet.
