Forming of an Apex Committee as the Task Force to facilitate the implementation of the Pettah Multimodal Transport Hub Project

- Approval of the Cabinet has been granted to establish the Pettah Multimodal Transport Hub and to call for Expression of Interest (EOI) from suitable investors who would undertake the activities pertaining to the implementation of the project from the private sector financial assistance. In order to complete the plan of this project, there are several complex problems to be resolved. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Megapolis & Western Development, to finalize the technological and financial feasible studies pertaining to the project and to appoint a steering committee to act as the task force of the Pettah Multimodal Transport Hub to intervene in the said problems and take decisions , was approved by the Cabinet.
