Construction of the Sports Complex and the Indoor Stadium in the Monaragala District

- As a new cross-section in the development of the Moneragala District, it has been planned to construct the Sports Complex and the Indoor Stadium in the plot of land in extent of 10 acres located in the Kumarawatta Estate in Moneragala which has been acquired for the said purpose, with the objective of promoting the health of the community living in the district and also for bestowing sports talents of the future generation. Accordingly, the joint proposal made by Hon. Ranjith Madduma Bandara, the Minister of Public Administration, Disaster Management and Rural Economic Affairs and Hon. Harin Fernando, the Minister of Telecommunication, Foreign Employment and Sports to secure the funds necessary for the said purpose, was approved by the Cabinet.
