Construction of a Public Service Indoor Sports Complex for the Kuliyapitiya - West Divisional Secretariat

- The Public Officers residing in the District of Kurunegala where the largest number of such officers dwell, make use of the facilities found in the Public Service Indoor Sports Club Premises situated in the Meegahakotuwa area which are of very minimal standards for their sports activities. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Wajira Abeywardena, the Minister of Internal & Home Affairs and Provincial Councils & Local Government to secure the funds required to develop the said sports club premises as a full fledged sports complex with a Badminton Court, a Tenis Court, Pool/Snooker Tables, a Squash Court, a Swimming Pool, Cafeteria, and Office Complex, conference facilities and an Exercise Hall, was approved by the Cabinet.
