Entering into a Loan Agreement with the Exim Bank of Hungary for the construction of Flyovers at Kohuwala and Getambe

- The necessary action has been taken to enter into a commercial contract with the relevant contractor for the construction of Flyovers at Kohuwala and Getambe with a view to providing speedy and safe transport facilities to the commuters. The Government of Hungary has expressed its willingness to provide Financial assistace for the said construction activities. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Mangala Samaraweera, the Minister of Finance, to enter into an agreement with the Exim Bank of Hungary to obtain a concessionary loan of Euro 52 million, was approved by the Cabinet.
