The National Strategic Road Map for the Internet of Things (IoT): 2019 - 2022

- The 'Internet of Things' which is the technology of communication of devices and tools via the internet is recognized as the next revolutionary and the transformative technology of the world. The experts of the Institute of Engineering and Technology of the United Kingdom, Sri Lanka Network, under the guidance of the Ministry of Digital Infrastructure and Information Technology has drafted a National Strategic Road Map pertaining to IoT focusing on the period from 2019 to 2022 and it has been subject to a broader dialogue among various stakeholder institutions and further improvements have been made by incorporating those suggestions and recommendations. As such, H.E. the President Maithripala Sirisena, at the request of the Non-Cabinet Minister of Digital Infrastructure and Information Technology, presented the said National Strategic Road Map for the IoT for the period from 2019 - 2022, so improved, to the Cabinet for information.
