Implementation of the projects pertaining to the prevention of Kidney Disease by utilizing the funds of the National Kidney Fund

- Various projects are being implemented at present, with the objective of providing a better facilitated chemical and hospitality service for the welfare of the people of Sri Lankans afflicted with the chronic kidney disease and proposals have also been made to implement 03 other new projects. Accordingly, the proposal made by H.E. the President Maithripala Sirisena, to implement the project for the research on identification of the aetiology and prevention of the Chronic Kidney disease by the Teaching Hospital Kandy, under the supervision of the Presidential Task Force on the prevention of Kidney disease, to carryout the construction work of an Information and Research Centre on Kidney disease by the University of Kelaniya and to implement a programme of adopting indigenous system of medicine in the treatment of kidney disease and to implement the treatment promotion programme by the Bandaranaike Memorial Indigenous Medical Research Institute, was approved by the Cabinet.
