Annual Report of 2018 submitted in terms of the Fiscal Management (Responsibility) Act

- In terms of the provisions of section 13 of the Fiscal Management (Responsibility) Act, No.3 of 2003, the Minister of Finance should submit an Annual Report (Final Budgetary Position Report) to the parliament and to the public, not later than five months from the end of the relevant financial year. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Mangala Samaraweera, the Minister of Finance, to submit the report inclusive of the updated information on fiscal management activities for the fiscal year 2018 which has been prepared under four sections to wit; Macro-fiscal Perspectives, Final Budget Position, Functional Performance and Reforms and Financial Statements, in parliament, was approved by the Cabinet.
