Construction of a building complex with Advanced Level classes and Laboratory facilities in the National School with multi-ethnic students and trilingual education in the Polonnaruwa District

- The first building complex of the National School with multi-ethnic students and trilingual education in the Polonnaruwa District is being constructed to accommodate the classes from Grade 6 to Grade 9, availing the facilities required for administration activities under the donation of Rs. 300 million of the Indian Government and the necessity has arisen to construct another building complex for class rooms of Grade 12 and Grade 13 and laboratory facilities of the said School. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Akila Viraj Kariyawasam, Minister of Education to award the construction works of the said building to M/S Central Engineering Services (Pvt) Ltd. for a sum of Rs.245.9 million as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
