Establishment of a Task Force to monitor the management of the Regional Plantation Companies

- The significance of establishing a Task Force for a period of three (03) years in order to submit the recommendations for the implementation of necessary practices to maintain the sustainability of the plantation sector has been identified. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Navin Dissanayake, the Minister of Plantation Industries to establish a Task Force comprising of ten (10) experts in the field of plantation for the implementation of this system for a period of three (03) years, aimed at enhancing the standard of plantation sector, was approved by the Cabinet.
