Procurement of Railway Level Crossing Protection Systems

- The proposal made by Hon. Arjuna Ranatunga, Minister of Transport & Civil Aviation to award the contract to M/s Kernex Micro Systems (India) Ltd. of India for the Supply, Installation, Testing, Commissioning and Maintenance of 200 Bell & Light Level Crossing Protection Systems to the Sri Lanka Railways, for a sum of US$ 8.18 million, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee to provide a better service by improving the railway transport services of the country, was approved by the Cabinet.
