Upgrading of the existing Analogue X-Ray Systems to Digital X-Ray Systems in the Government Hospitals

- The use of Digital X-Rays to identify the diseases at their initial stages has been recognized as the most productive technological methodology for a more successful diagnosis. As such, the approval of the Cabinet has been granted previously, to implement a project for upgrading of the existing Analogue X-Ray Systems to Digital X-Ray Systems at several selected hospitals. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. (Dr.) Rajitha Senaratne, the Minister of Health, Nutrition & Indigenous Medicine, to obtain a comprehensive project proposal from M/s AGFA NV. of Belgium to evaluate the same and to secure the financial facilities required for the purpose, was approved by the Cabinet.
