Construction of the Trincomalee High Court Complex

- Due to the limited space available in the buildings of the High Court, Civil Appellate High Court, District Court, Magistrate's Court, Additional Magistrate's Court and the Labour Tribunal of Trincomalee housed in the Trincomalee Divisional Court Complex, the general public as well as the staff face severe inconveniences. As such, with the expectation of providing adequate facilities for the judicial services, it has been planned to construct a new building with an investment of around Rs.250 million and accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. (Mrs.) Thalatha Atukorala, the Minister of Justice & Prison Reforms, to award the consultancy services contract of same to the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau (CECB), was approved by the Cabinet.
