Ensuring the security of the Atamasthana inclusive of the Sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi and the Ruwanveli Maha Seya of Anuradhapura

- Proposals have been made by the Maha Sanga including various parties for ensuring the security of the Atamasthana inclusive of the Sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi and the Ruwanveli Maha Seya of Anuradhapura which has earned the kind respect of the above local and foreign Buddhists. Taking into consideration, the proposal made by Hon. Gamini Jayawickrema Perera, the Minister of Buddhasasana & Wayamba Development, providing security measures inclusive of erecting a high security fence around the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi and the Ruwanveli Maha Seya, was approved by the Cabinet.
