Purchase of MRI machine for Teaching Hospital, Jaffna

- The proposal made by Hon. (Dr.) Rajitha Senaratne, the Minister of Health, Nutrition & Indigenous Medicine to award the procurement for the purchase of MRI machine for the Teaching Hospital, Jaffna used to obtain magnetic resonance imaging MRI) for identification of various conditions in the brain and central nervous system and for the breast and cardiac diseases to M/s Dimo (Pvt) Ltd. at a sum of US$ 1.65 and Rs.44.85 million as recommended by the the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee and the Procurement Appeal Board and enter into a service and maintenance contract with the same entity at a cost of US$ 269,231 for a period of 5 years subsequent to its warranty period of 2 years, was approved by the Cabinet.
