Purchase of 29 Phacoemulsification Machines used for cataract surgeries for implanting artificial eye lenses

- The proposal made by Hon. (Dr.) Rajitha Senaratne, the Minister of Health, Nutrition & Indigenous Medicine to award the procurement for the purchase of 29 Phacoemulsification machines used for cataract surgeries for implanting artificial eye lenses to M/s. Delmage Forsyth & Co. Ltd at a sum of US$ 1.18 million as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee and the Procurement Appeal Board and enter into a service and maintenance contract with the same entity at a cost of Rs.937,850 for each equipment for a period of 5 years subsequent to its warranty period of 2 years, was approved by the Cabinet.
