Purchase of high back seater buses for the Sri Lanka Transport Board

- The proposal made by Hon. Arjuna Ranatunga, Minister of Transport & Civil Aviation, to award the contract for the purchase of 272 high back 50 seater buses for the Sri Lanka Transport Board under lease basis to be paid back in five years, so as to provide a more qualitative, comfortable and secure service to the General public, to M/s Ashok Leyland Ltd. for a sum of Rs.3,264 million, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
