Procurement of 4,000,000 vials of antibiotics used for bacterial infections

- The proposal made by Hon. (Dr.) Rajitha Senaratne, the Minister of Health, Nutrition & Indigenous Medicine, to award the contract for the procurement of 4,000,000 vials of Cefuroxime Sodium for injection BP, 750 mg or Cefuroxime for injection USP, 750 mg used as antibiotics for bacterial infections, to M/s Inject Care Parenterals (pvt) Ltd. of India, for a sum of Rs 197.89 million (US $ 1.24 million), as recommended by the Procurement Appeal Board, was approved by the Cabinet.
