Conservation and Restoration of the Dutch Museum in Pettah
- The Dutch Museum situated at Prince Street in Pettah had been constructed during the colonial period of around 350 years ago which had been used as the Official Residence of the Dutch Governor of the day. As of now, this building which is located in a populous area is a place which is subject to constant focus and attention of the local and foreign tourists. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Sajith Premadasa, the Minister of Housing, Construction and Cultural Affairs, to carry out the identified conservation and restoration of this museum at an investment of Rs.97.26 million, was approved by the Cabinet.
