Procurement of consultancy services for the Thalpitigala Reservoir Project

- Approval of the Cabinet had been granted previously to implement the Thalpitigala Reservoir Project as an alternative to the water scarcity which would occur in the Minipe Left Bank Canal Scheme associated with the Bathmadilla anicut found in the Lower Valley as a result of the implementation of the Uma Oya Multipurpose Development Project. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. P. Harison, the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Economic Affairs, Livestock Development, Irrigation and Fisheries & Aquatic Resources Development to award the Consultancy Contract of this Project for a sum of Rs.333 million to the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau and to provide other facilities in that respect, as recommended by the Cabinet Appointed Consultancy Procurement Committee (CACPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
