Presenting of the 'Chamber of Construction Industry of Sri Lanka Bill' in Parliament

- The Chamber of Construction Industry of Sri Lanka has been established in the year 2001 and subsequently, it has been incorporated as a company limited by guarantee. Presently, 12 professional institutes and associations are institutional members of this Chamber and nearly 300 private companies join this Chamber directly. The Chamber of Construction Industry of Sri Lanka (Incorporation) Bill has been presented to Parliament as a Private Members Bill and accordingly the proposal made by Hon. Sajith Premadasa, Minister of Housing, Construction and Cultural Affairs, to present the same subsequently taking into consideration the relevant stakeholders associated with the industry, was approved by the Cabinet.
