Settlement of Outstanding Liabilities for the Year 2018

- The settlement of the payments to be made for the development activities implemented by the Government in the year 2018, within the said financial year itself was delayed due to the deficit in the Government revenue which did not reach its expected growth. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Mangala Samaraweera, the Minister of Finance, to secure additional funds for the settlement of the relevant outstanding liabilities in respect of the said development programmes, was approved by the Cabinet.
