Construction of 33kV Distribution Tower Lines and Gantries under the Supporting Electricity Supply Reliability Improvement Project

- A loan amounting to US$ million 115 has been granted by the Asian Development Bank to strengthen the transmission and distribution network of the Ceylon Electricity Board, under the Supporting Electricity Supply Reliability Improvement Project. Through this, the projects are being implemented under 9 packages by this Project and accordingly the proposal made by Hon. Ravi Karunanayake, the Minister of Power, Energy and Business Development to award the contract for the construction of 33kV Tower Lines and Gantries under package 4 to Qingdao Huijintong Power Equipment Co. Ltd. at a sum of Rs.6,781.5 million as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
