Construction of countermeasures on high risk land slide prone roads

- The proposal made by Hon. Kabir Hashim, the Minister of Highways & Road Development and Petroleum Resources Development to construct the countermeasures on 10th km of the Ambepussa- Kurunagala - Trincomalee Road, 27th km of the Wellawaya- Ella - Kumbalwela Road, and 6th, 22nd and 33rd kms of the Beragala - Hali Ela Road identified as the high risk land slide prone locations, utilizing a remaining sum of Yen 2,000 million from Yen 7,619 million allocated for the Landslide Disaster Protection Project of the National Road Network after completion of the said project, was approved by the Cabinet.
