Redesigning of the Deegavapi Stupa in Ampara

- The proposal made by Hon. Sajith Premadasa, the Minister of Housing, Construction and Cultural Affairs, to purchase specified bricks required for redesigning of the Deegavapi Stupa in Ampara constructed by the King Saddhatissa and which has been declared as an Archaeological protected Monument since 1947 and to obtain the labour contribution of the Sri Lanka Army for the purpose, was approved by the Cabinet.
