Construction of the building complex for the Faculty of Health - Care Sciences of the Eastern University of Sri Lanka

- It has been proposed to construct the Faculty of Health - Care Sciences of the Eastern University of Sri Lanka, on a plot of land of 50 acres at Pilleyaradi in Batticaloa, with an investment of Rs.7,978 million with the financial assistance of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Rauff Hakeem, the Minister of City Planning, Water Supply and Higher Education, to award the contract for the construction of the building complex to M/s International Construction Consortium (Pvt.) Ltd., for a sum of Rs.2,887.95 million (without VAT), as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
