Entering into Agreements with Investors for 03 Grid Substations of Mahiyanganaya, Vauniya and Embilipitiya

- Under the 'Soorya Bala Sangramaya' programme, grid substations have been identified for the establishment of 90 Solar Power plants connected to the National Grid. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Ravi Karunanayake, the Minister of Power, Energy and Business Development to enter into power purchase Agreements with the selected investors, as per the recommendation of the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee for the grid substations of Mahiyanganaya, Vauniya and Embilipitiya was approved by the Cabinet.
