Construction of the Boralanda Swimming Pool

- It has been proposed to construct a swimming pool at a length of 25 meters with 06 lanes in a plot of land belonging to the Boralanda Police Training College, in the close proximity to the Boralanda town in Welimada. The Swimming Pool will be used to conduct the training programmes for the Athletes in the area, School children, Government Servants, Police Officers, School Cadets, Life‑saving Swimming instructors and for the apprentice officers of the police and other services. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Harin Fernando, Minister of Telecommunication, Foreign Employment and Sports, to implement the said project at an investment of Rs 50 million, was approved by the Cabinet.
