Development of Facilities at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training in Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL)

- The Training Centre functioning at the Office Complex of the Kukuleganga Hydro power project provides necessary training for the Army troops who attend for the Peace Keeping Missions under the United Nations Organization. Accordingly, the proposal made by H.E. the President Maithripala Sirisena, in his capacity as the Minister of Defence, to upgrade the facilities of the training school at an investment of Rs. 811.71 million so as to carry out the said training sessions more qualitatively and up to the standards of the United Nations Organization, was approved by the Cabinet.
