Empowering the economy by the development of the Mechatronics Sector

- The Cabinet of Ministers has granted its approval previously to the proposal for granting the Long Term Loan Facility under the “Enterprise Sri lanka Programme” proposed to be implemented as one of the components of the Mechatronics Enabled Economic Development Initiative.

Accordingly, taking into consideration the benefits that could be accrued through the proposed project, the proposal made by H.E. the President Maithripala Sirisena, at the request of the Non‑Cabinet Minister of Science, Technology & Research to implement the proposed project including the Standards Training, Prototyping and Test Facility identified as another component thereto, through the financial allocations provided under the Non-Cabinet Minister of Science, Technology & Research, was approved by the Cabinet.
