Amendments to the Tea Research Board Act, No.52 of 1993

- The Cabinet of Ministers has granted approval previously, to amend the Tea Research Board Act, No.52 of 1993, incorporating the amendments such as, taking environmental safety measures in regard to the tea plantation, issuing of research findings of the Tea Board to various stakeholders, making provisions to prevent the inconsistencies between the Tea Research Board Act, and the other related laws and the re‑structuring of the composition of the Director Board of the Tea Research Board. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Navin Dissanayake, the Minister of Plantation Industries to present the draft Bill prepared accordingly, in Parliament, was approved by the Cabinet.
