Implementation of the Sukithapurawara Development Projects

- The 'Sukithapurawara Township Development Programme' is being implemented by the Ministry of Megapolis & Western Development, from the year 2016 aimed at the Development of public facilities and the infrastructure facilities of various towns of the Island. Under this programme, an investment of around Rs.12,894 million has been made by now. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis & Western Development, to undertake the programmes identified to be implemented during the year 2019, such as wholesale markets, bus stands, parks, vehicle parks, walk ways, weekly fairs, fish markets, town halls, commercial complexes, town centres, children parks, beach parks, road development activities etc. covering all Provinces, was approved by the Cabinet.
