Amendment of the Short Title to the Sri Lanka Land Reclamation and Development Corporation as Sri Lanka Land Development Corporation

- The Colombo District (Low-Lying Areas) Reclamation and Development Board was established under the Colombo District (Low-Lying Areas) Reclamation and Development Act No. 15 of 1968, and its Short Title was amended as Sri Lanka Land Reclamation and Development Corporation incorporating an amendment thereto, under the Act No.52 of 1982. Subsequently, taking into account of the contribution of this institution towards national development, approval of the Cabinet has been granted previously to amend its Short Title as Sri Lanka Land Development Corporation. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis & Western Development to present the draft bill published in the Gazette, in Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
