Procurement of Fertilizer required for the month of April 2019

- The proposal made by Hon. P. Harison, the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Economic Affairs, Livestock Development, Irrigation and Fisheries & Aquatic Resources Development, to obtain approval for the procurement of 27,400 MT of Urea (Granular) for a price of US$ 318.75 per MT from M/s Agri Commodities and Fiance and 3,000 MT of Muriate of Potash for a price of US$ 352.85 per MT from M/s Valancy International Trading (Pte.) Ltd., required for the month of April for the Ceylon Fertilizer Company Ltd. and the Colombo Commercial Company Ltd., and also for the procurement of 10,000 MT of Triple Super Phosphate for a price of US$ 317.00 per MT from the Golden Barley International (Pte.) Ltd., in accordance with the recommendation of the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC) was approved by the Cabinet.
