Conducting Airborne Gravity, Gravity Gradiometry and Magnetic Surveys on Multi-Client Basis for Exploration of Oil and Natural Gas around the Mannar and the Cauvery Basin

- The proposal made by Hon. Kabir Hashim, the Minister of Highways & Road Development and Petroleum Resources Development to award the contract to carry out the survey, to Bell Geospace Ltd. in accordance with the recommendation of the Cabinet Appointed Negotiation Committee (CANCP), in compliance with the request for proposals for selecting a competent and experienced geophysical exploration company to carry out Airborne Gravity, Gravity Gradiometry and Magnetic Surveys over the sea coast of Sri Lanka to explore the mineral gas fields said to be situated around the Cauvery Basin and the Mannar Basin, was approved by the Cabinet.
