Project for upgrading Grid Substations at Anuradhapura and Mannar

- The proposal made by Hon. Ravi Karunanayake, the Minister of Power, Energy and Business Development to award the contract for the installation of 220kV, 2x50MVAr Variable Shunt Reactors at the new Anuradhapura Grid Substation and 220kV, 50MVAr Variable Shunt Reactor at the Mannar Grid Substation, to the consortium of M/s. Siemens Ltd and DIMO (Pvt) Ltd. as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
