Maintenance of the Dr. Neville Fernando Teaching Hospital as a Line Teaching Hospital of the Government

- It has been proposed to maintain Dr. Neville Fernando Teaching Hospital as a Line Teaching Hospital of the Government, equivalent to the Sri Jayewardenapura Hospital, equipped with all the required facilities in order to provide health services for the people living in Colombo East, Kaduwela and Malabe, the areas where a high density of population exist. Therefore, the proposal made by Hon. (Dr.) Rajitha Senaratne, the Minister of Health, Nutrition & Indigenous Medicine, to maintain Dr. Neville Fernando Teaching Hospital as the Colombo East Teaching Hospital in line with the Colombo East Base Hospital (Mulleriyawa), was approved by the Cabinet.
