Appointment of a Sub-Committee to study the recommendations made in the Report of the Special Commission appointed to review the salaries in the Public Sector

- A Special Commission to review the salaries in the Public Sector was previously appointed by H.E. the President to make the necessary recommendations reviewing the existing salary structure in the Public Sector to rectify the salary anomalies which have arisen at present. Accordingly, the Report containing the recommendations of the said Special Commission for the rectification of the salary anomalies has been presented to H.E. the President. As such, the proposal made by H.E. the President Maithripala Sirisena, to appoint a Cabinet Sub‑Committee to study the mode of implementation of the recommendations contained in the Report and present the proposals decided conclusively to the Cabinet, was approved by the Cabinet.
